The Story of Anne
Our most popular tour departs from both Charlottetown and Cavendish daily. Your journey includes visiting destinations such as National Historic Site Green Gables Heritage Place. The farmstead that inspired Anne of Green Gables bestselling novel by Canadian author Lucy Maud Montgomery; published in 1908. Lake of Shining Waters at Silver Bush and the Green Gables Museum – The Campbell homestead, that L.M. Montgomery called the “wonder castle of my childhood”, was built in 1872 by her Uncle John and Aunt Annie Campbell. Stops will also be made at Lucy Maud Montgomery Birthplace, and Prince Edward Island National Park. Plus, to complete your Island visit, a delicious Lobster Lunch!
South Shore Excursion
Discover the rich red soil while travelling the south shore of Prince Edward Island. Stops will be made in picturesque Victoria-by-the-Sea; one of the Island’s fishing villages bound by the arts community. While shopping at Gateway Village take time to dress up like Anne of Green Gables at Cavendish Figurines. A photo stop will be made at Confederation Bridge, the longest bridge in the world crossing ice-covered water, and one of Canada’s top engineering achievements of the 20th century. Last stop historic walk through the charming City of Summerside.
