Your adventure begins with a brief city tour of historic downtown Charlottetown, then on to the rolling rural countryside. Tour Dalvay by the Sea, the magnificent Victorian summer home built in 1895 for the president of Standard Oil. Now a National Historic Site located on PEI’s spectacular North Shore, Dalvay is in the Queen Anne revival-style of architecture, with many gables and dormers. The highlight of this tour is a lobster luncheon in one of Atlantic Canada’s premier dining rooms.
(Alternative entrées of chicken, salmon, beef or vegetarian are also available.)
After lunch, take a walk or perhaps a canoe or row boat ride on Long Pond. Try the horse-shoe pitch, the croquet green, or just relax and take-in the splendour of the property in one of the Adirondack chairs.
